Taking a practice test
No account is required and none of your answers are sent to us. While a test is in progress your place and your answers are held in your own browser’s local storage so that you can close the tab and come back. Clearing your browser data deletes them. We never see them.
If you ask for an answer sheet
We store the email address you give us, together with the numeric seed that rebuilds the test you took and your score on it. The seed is a number — it is not your answers and it is not question text.
We use that address to send the answer sheet and study tips. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell or rent email addresses, and we do not pass them to advertisers.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, your age, your address, your school or your test date. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build a profile of you across other sites.
Cookies
The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Local storage is used only for the two things described above: your place in a test, and which skills you have ticked off in the study-guide checklist. Both stay on your device.
Getting your data removed
Unsubscribing removes you from the mailing list. If you would like your address deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, ask and we will delete it.
Children
This site is aimed at people preparing for a high-school equivalency test. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us an email address, tell us and we will delete it.
